TrojanUV3000B
An operator-friendly, economical UV treatment system for small wastewater plant
Simple and Reliable Wastewater Treatment
Designed specifically for small wastewater treatment plants, the TrojanUV3000®B provides a robust and efficient UV disinfection solution for flow rates between 1 and 5 MGD (158–789 m³/hr). Its modular architecture, combined with proven system components, ensures reliable operation, ease of use, and reduced maintenance requirements, allowing facilities to achieve effective treatment with minimal operator intervention.

Key Features and Benefits
Streamlined Installation
The TrojanUV3000®B is designed for straightforward retrofit into existing chlorine contact tanks and effluent channels. Supplied pre-tested, pre-assembled, and pre-wired, the system helps reduce installation time, complexity, and overall project costs. Its outdoor-rated design allows all components to be installed without the need for additional buildings or shelters, further lowering capital expenditure.

Advanced, Self-Contained UV Modules
Compact electronic lamp drivers are integrated directly within each UV module, eliminating the need for separate external electrical cabinets and reducing the overall system footprint. The drivers are cooled through natural convection, enhancing reliability while minimising energy requirements. All module wiring is factory-installed, fully tested, and enclosed within a watertight frame to ensure dependable operation and simplify installation.
Operator-friendly Design
The lightweight, electrically independent module design allows individual modules to be removed for maintenance without interrupting flow or shutting down the entire system. UV lamps are rated for 12,000 hours of operation and can be replaced quickly and easily without the use of specialised tools. In addition, an integrated lamp status indicator provides instant visual monitoring, helping operators identify when lamp replacement is required.

Proven Performance
The TrojanUV3000®B has undergone comprehensive microbial validation testing to verify its disinfection performance. This testing generated performance data confirming the system's ability to deliver the required UV dose for the effective inactivation of microorganisms, including Escherichia coli (E. coli) and fecal coliform bacteria.

Flow Pacing
The System Control Center (SCC) provides real-time digital monitoring of UV bank status, lamp operating hours, and UV intensity levels. Individual UV banks can be automatically activated or deactivated in response to changes in flow rate using a flow meter signal. This flow-paced operation optimises energy efficiency by aligning UV output with treatment demand, reducing power consumption during periods of lower flow while maintaining effective disinfection performance.
